USC Salkehatchie has released its 2019 Women’s Volleyball schedule.
“I am really excited about the 2019 schedule. We have a good mix of home and away games. With 13 home games, there will be plenty of opportunities for fans to catch a match and watch, essentially, a brand new team,” Coach Drew Alewine said.
The Indians have a difficult stretch of opening games including 3 four-year universities and the defending region and district champion, Catawba Valley, which finished last season ranked in the top 10.
“The opening games are going be extremely difficult. Then, we will go on the road for 10 out of the next 12 games. We have one of the most difficult schedules in the region, but I think it is something that these players will be able to handle. It gives us momentum towards the end of the season when we are playing more home games and fighting for a good seed in the Region X Tournament. With the talent we have coming in this season, added to the returning players from last season, there are exciting things coming for Salk volleyball in 2019,” Alewine said.
