USC Salkehatchie’s women’s basketball coach Glen Mayo motivated students of his alma mater Chipley High on their first day of classes. Mayo spoke on the 4 foundation blocks of success: goal setting, discipline, support systems, and passion.
“It was important for me to speak to the students at Chipley High because I’m not far removed from where they are. Many of the same battles and challenges they are facing, I have faced. It’s important to me that I give back. Our youth are our future,” Mayo said.
The Lady Indians will begin their 2nd season in November.
