Softball Coach Siara Shelton has announced that she is leaving her position at USC Salkehatchie to pursue opportunities outside of the world of softball.
“I want to thank everyone here at Salk for their warm welcome two years ago when I was hired. A big thank you to athletic director and head baseball coach Jeremy Joye for being my right hand and also helping me along the way. I could not be prouder of my teams these past two years, and I know that the next coach will do great things. I am looking forward to this next adventure in life and to returning to Salk as a fan. Thank you again, Salk family!” Shelton said.
Jeremy Joye is grateful for the role Shelton has played as softball coach for Salkehatchie and wishes her the best.
“Coach Shelton has done a great job in her two years at the helm. I want to thank her for her dedication to USC Salkehatchie while serving as the head softball coach,” Joye said. Although she will be greatly missed, I am excited for her as she steps into a role outside of the world of softball.”
The search for a new softball coach will begin soon.
