WALTERBORO, S.C. – Magnetic guard Devan Rush from Atlanta, G.A. has signed a letter of intent to play for USC Salkehatchie. Rush, a 6-foot, 4-inch, 165-pound guard, most recently played at The Skill Factory (TSF) in Atlanta. Rush averaged 10.4 points per game last season, while shooting 48% from the field and 42% from three.
"We continually recruit character just as hard as we recruit basketball ability, and I think we knocked it out the box with Devan," said Coach Matt Lynch. "I took my time recruiting Devan. We had built up a strong relationship way before I put the offer on the table for him. He wants to be good, and he wants to be at Salk. That's the perfect combination in my eyes."
"Devan is a talented player who can score from all three levels on offense," said Coach Rob Johnson, head coach and program director at TSF. "He is a really good shooter and shot maker. He knows how to play with and without the ball. He has great length for his position and has the potential to also be a very good defender. I’m excited to see his growth over the next few years. USC Salk is a great start to his college career."
Rush becomes the second signee in the 2024 class for Coach Lynch, joining fellow guard Jeremaih McCain out of Columbia, S.C.
