WALTERBORO, S.C. – The USC Salkehatchie men's basketball team remained perfect at home after a gritty 73 - 76 win over the South Georgia Tech Jets.
Salkehatchie came into the game 6-0 at the "Salk Palace" and were able to stay undefeated in front of an electric Walterboro crowd. It was a slow offensive start for Salkehatchie and tough rebounding by the Jets that allowed South Georgia to take a 7-point lead into halftime, 42-35.
Salkehatchie began the second half with a quick 9-0 run to regain the lead. The game was highly competitve the rest of the way. USC Salkehatchie utilized 11 players and a deep bench that were able to grind out the win and stay perfect at home.
