Salk uses big second half run to improve to 2-0

WALTERBORO, S.C. – The USC Salkehatchie men's basketball team improved to 2 - 0 on the season after defeating Franklin Prep Academy 106 - 80 on Saturday.

Franklin Prep jumped out to an early 10-point lead, as Salkehatchie did not come out of the gate strong. As the half progressed, the men found their footing and went into halftime with a slim, two-point advantage, 49 - 47.

The game stayed relatively close throughout the first 8 minutes of the second half. Then, Salkehatchie found its momentum and went on an impressive 30 - 4 run that would prove to be the difference in the game.

USC Salkehatchie will host Francis Marion this Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. in Walterboro with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
