USC Salkehatchie’s Smith Named Region 10 Player of the Year, Trio Earns All-Region Honors

WALTERBORO, SC – USC Salkehatchie is thrilled to announce that sophomore middle hitter, Connelly Smith, has been named the Region 10 Division I Conference Player of the Year. This prestigious honor recognizes her outstanding contributions to the team’s success throughout the 2024 season.


Additionally, three USC Salkehatchie volleyball players have been named to the NJCAA Region 10 All-Region Team:


  • Connelly Smith, Sophomore Middle Hitter: 1st Team All-Region, her second consecutive All-Region accolade.

  • Serah Rego, Sophomore Setter: 1st Team All-Region

  • Leah Tevid, Sophomore Libero: 2nd Team All-Region


“We are incredibly proud of Connelly, Serah, and Leah for their outstanding performances this season,” said Coach Dani Aquino, head coach of the USC Salkehatchie volleyball team. “Their dedication, hard work, and leadership have been instrumental in our team’s success. We congratulate them on these well-deserved honors.”
